Effective sensor placement is crucial and varies based on your gas type (City Gas vs. Tank) and appliance layout:

Utility Rooms & Basements

For Natural Gas, sensors are mounted high (gas rises). For Propane, sensors are mounted low (gas sinks).

Kitchens

Sensors are installed near appliances but positioned to avoid false alarms from cooking smells or unlit burners.

Laundry Rooms

Positioned behind the dryer where the gas line connects to the wall, a common failure point due to machine vibration.

Sleeping Areas

Great service! Blackbird Security is monitoring 3 buildings for us. The guards are on time, they make their rounds in the agreed time and they are alert. When I come late at night, the guards check me out to see what I am doing there, even though they know me and my car. Very attentive. Always answer calls, email back within 24 hours and report daily.
